Top Ten Tuesday

I know I’m a little behind but Tuesdays are my busiest days and I couldn’t just let another Top Ten Tuesday pass me by without notice, so here is this week’s topic: November 11: Top Ten Characters You Wish Would Get Their OWN Book (minor or just maybe a semi main character you wish a book was from their POV).

Peeta Mellark – Not really a minor character but how amazing would it be to see the series (The Hunger Games) from his perspective. His thoughts on dying, his love for Katniss, his torture. That would be a great book.

Effie Trinkett – A minor character in some respects, I find her fascinating. How did she end up living in the Capitol? How did she end up with her job to go to all the districts? These are burning questions. (The Hunger Games)

Neville Longbottom – His history of not being able to do magic, his parents’ being tortured and being raised by his grandmother. Why is he so into plants? It becomes apparent why is in Gryffindor much later in the series but what did the sorting hat see in him? (Harry Potter series)

Tom Riddle/Lord Voldemort – Who doesn’t love to get the villain’s perspective? I think it’s very important to see both sides of an issue. Why did he hate Muggles if he was a half-blood himself? What triggered this? (Harry Potter series)

Christopher Roberts – Minor character in The Book of Life, childhood bestie of Diana, a human, a very smart one at that, who can hold his own against vampires. Love to know more!

Maxon Schreave – Prince of the Nation in The Selection, how does he narrow down his options? What experiences does he have (without and without the other girls) when he isn’t with America?

Prince Kai – Male lead in Cinder and an interesting person. Has a kind of Princess Jasmine (from Aladdin) thing going on, wandering out into public dressed as a commoner. All this pressure to make Luna happy. What is going on in his head?

Four – A mysterious and good-looking former Abnegation (Divergent) who just happens to fall in love with an unlikely girl? He is smart and well-trained and he definitely has a past. Who is the woman in the chair? I need to know.

Anthony Lockwood – He owns the company Lockwood and Co (book of the same name The Screaming Staircase) and yet nothing is from his point of view. And he obviously has many secrets. What happened to his family? How did he inherit the house at such a young age?

Jaenelle Angelline – One of my most beloved characters, her self-sacrifice isn’t lame or ridiculous, she is loving and dangerous to her enemies. Entire books are written about her but never from her perspective. Always from those around her. Why? What else can Witch possibly be hiding? (The Black Jewels Trilogy).
